The Chicago Cubs are going through the motions of playing baseball.  Or so I suspect. That’s all right. Chances are all of us go through the motions of doing whatever it is that we do. Mostly, making a living. Of course, playing baseball on the major league level might be perceived as a dream job for most of us. But lately, the Cubs look bored. Playing out the string of remaining games.  They are guaranteed their salaries. Regardless of performance. Yes, a nice gig. If one can get it.  –Jim Broede
