Setting a good example.

Friend Julie's dog Sasha is a scaredy cat. Afraid of thunder, gun shots, fireworks and firecrackers. Therefore, the raucous Fourth of July holiday isn't her favorite. She'd rather stay in and celebrate by hiding under a bed or in a shower stall. But  I don't take 'no' for an answer. Trying instead to shame a cowardly dog. Sasha went out for her daily walks. Despite the fear and trepidation. I literally dragged her out. In a rigid sitting position. And told her. It's time to face life. With courage.  Sasha reluctantly agreed.
