Pondering one's mortality.
I wonder. If I should learn to die. Long before
dying. Because then I’m more likely to be
prepared. For that sad and tragic event. That’s better, some folks tell me,
than leaving one’s passing to the last minute. With little, or absolutely no
forethought. Though being unprepared may
have merit. Gives one more time to focus on the pleasures of living. Of course,
it’s possible to muse endlessly. About one’s mortality. But that may be
unhealthy. Causing worry and stress. Thereby hastening one’s death. --Jim Broede
