A talking, thinking cat.

Imagination. That’s what makes me different. From Marcello, my beloved cat. Though I can’t be sure about that. For all I know, maybe Marcello has a fantastic imagination. Maybe he dreams fantastic dreams. I’m trying to teach Marcello words. Yes, a language. So that he can eventually connect several words. Into a sentence. That expresses a thought. Something meaningful. I look into his eyes. And speak to him. Softly. In short sentences.  He seems captivated. Enthralled. Hypnotized by my soothing tone of voice. If I shout, he knows something is wrong. That I’m angry. That it’s wise to stop what he’s doing.  And to reflect on his behavior. Anyway, the experiment of communicating with Marcello.  Seems to be working. My goal is to have a talking, thinking cat.  Won’t surprise me. If Marcello learns to muse. And posts here some day. --Jim Broede
