Slowly. Methodically.

I’m trying to live in a slow and methodical manner. But friends and associates keep encouraging me to speed up. Because fast-paced living is in vogue. Here in the 21st Century. Of course. I let everyone know that I’m still stuck in the 18th Century. And I have no desire to modernize. For instance, I’ll turn off the television and the electric lights. And eat supper and read a book. By candlelight. There’s something to be said for being old fashioned. And behind the times. When one wasn’t required to be in a hurry. Better to take one’s time. To savor life appropriately.  Slowly.
