My desire to compromise.

Believe it or not. I like to listen. To people. With views contrary to mine. To see. If they can sway me. And sometimes, they do. I admit. Being wrong. No. No. Maybe not wrong. But rather. I concede. That they make sense. That I can buy into their premise. Even if I don’t totally agree. Yes. Yes. I consider myself a liberal. But when I listen closely. And with an open mind. I grant. That some conservatives. Have very persuasive arguments. Which means. If I were their legislative colleague. They might get my vote (support). On certain issues, that is. I’m not on the lunatic fringe of liberalism. I’m merely a simple, ordinary liberal. With a desire to compromise. --Jim Broede
