Taking it all in stride.

It’s good for me. To be disappointed. About something or other.  On a daily basis. Keeps me from becoming spoiled. And shows that I really care. Yes. Yes. Disappointment can be a source of my happiness. In a round-about way.  Keeps me going. Charged up. Dealing with disappointment.  I can hardly imagine a day without setbacks.  It’s part of life. If everything went smoothly, I’d be bored. Furthermore, my disappointments may be others good fortune. No sense in everyone being at a loss. When my Chicago Cubs lose a ball game, that makes for happy fans from the other team. Really, no one can escape disappointment.  Might as well take it all in stride. --Jim Broede
