People are afraid of each other.
People have to learn to trust each other. And a public forum isn't the place to do it. Instead, it has to be done privately. On a one-on-one basis. And so many, many people tend to be scared of that approach. Because it's too direct. Too intimate. Amazing. That so many people are afraid of each other. --Jim Broede

People hide behind facades. In anoninimity. Because they are afraid. They are living in a world that frightens them. And I wonder if that's really living. --Jim
I don't want to be frightened by the world. That's why I dare. Why I take risks. --Jim
I even dare to love. That's quite a feat in this day and age. --Jim
Yes, many people have become frightened of love. They don't love any more. They merely go through the motions. --Jim
I refuse to go through the motions. I want the real thing. And I have it. But the people going through the motions can't believe it. They have lost belief in love. --Jim
Some of you act as if you are afraid of your own shadow. You're spooked. Even spooked by me. Maybe it's because we are getting so close to Halloween. --Jim
So many Americans live in fear. Ever since 9/11. And so as a nation we've over-reacted. We've surrendered many of our rights and freedoms. Thinking that will make us safer. In reality, it has made us less safe. And a nation of fear-mongers. Sissies. --Jim
