The aliveness of the written word.

Read today about a writer who says he’s always writing. If not on paper  or  a computer, then on his mind. Whenever he thinks, especially in solitary moments, he’s framing written words. Doesn’t have to put them down. Where they can be visibly seen. By others. That’s one thing I like about life. And thought. I’m creating a story. And living it. At the same time. That’s how I savor a moment. A thought. An experience. I give new and buoyant life to what otherwise might be an ordinary moment. Instead, I make something meaningful of it. By writing. Often without the aid of a pen or pencil or paper or computer. It’s there. Inside me. The written word.   Alive. And active. –Jim Broede
