A bright thought. On a dark day.

The skies are overcast. The day dark and dreary. But I’m telling myself, this is a good thing. Don’t need sun block. Or sunglasses. And a good day for natural light photographs. Harder for me to get a good photo in bright sunshine. Though it doesn’t really matter. Don’t put a high priority on using my camera. Rather take pictures in my mind. Decided to like the day. And the weather. I don’t want every day to be sunshine. Give me a mix. In fact, I don’t want every day to fit my idea of perfect. I want to be able to adjust. To accept whatever happens. And make the best of it. To salvage something I can truly savor. Perhaps something unexpected. A bright thought. On a dark and dreary day. –Jim Broede
