Call me Beau Brummell.
I’m making a fashion statement. By wearing headbands. Almost every day. My Italian true love wishes I wouldn’t. Because headbands call attention. To me. I haven’t seen anyone else bedecked in a headband. Man or woman or beast. Instead, they wear knit caps and hats. Which I frown upon. They flatten one’s hair. Rather keep my hair fluffed and buoyant. With no covering on my head. Caps and hats are unnecessary. Because Sardinia never gets severely cold. I brought only three headbands with me to Italy. I pack light. But back home in Minnesota, I have a collection of over 100 headbands. In virtually every color. And some with designs. Means I can select a headband to match the rest of my apparel. Call me Beau Brummell. –Jim Broede
