My Cubs now play second fiddle.

In normal times, I’d be fleeing Sardinia now. Returning to the U.S. So that I could travel to Arizona. To take spring training with my beloved Chicago Cubs. I routinely do this every spring. Until now. After discovering I’d rather spend spring with by beloved Italian true love. In Sardinia. The Cubs will have to start playing second fiddle in my life. I arrive home again in Minnesota on March 31. And the Cubs open the regular season the next day. Yes, I’ll be in the right place at the right time. Able to watch the home opener on American TV.  –Jim Broede
