The essence of love.
My true love. Don’t want her to be like me. Instead, I’d much rather have her genuinely like me. As a human being. Despite our many differences. The worst scenario would be if we were more or less clones of each other. Instead, we tend to capitalize on our differences. She’s Italian. I’m American. Makes for a nice blend of cultures and ways. She’s younger. I’m older. Therefore, she makes me feel younger. I make her feel older. A good deal for both of us. She’s a woman. I’m a man. Long live the difference. Turns out, that we complement each other. In nice ways. That’s why the relationship works. Another thing. Neither one of us is perfect. We recognize our faults/blemishes. We aren’t out to change each other. Instead, we are very accepting. Very understanding. Makes each of us better human beings. We are two. But we often act as one. Could be, that’s the essence of love. –Jim Broede
