The benefits of being in love.

A few things went wrong today. Like my Chicago Cubs blowing a 5-1 lead late. Used to be that sort of thing would bother me. I even wanted trivial, relatively unimportant things to go right. And if they didn’t, I’d be ornery, annoyed, upset. Not any more. I focus instead on the things that went right. Accomplished a whole lot today. And I’m still in love. With my Italian true love. And with life. That’s the important and significant stuff. Makes me a happy fella. Can’t ask for much more than that. Means I’ll have sweet dreams tonight.  Ah, the benefits of being in love. –Jim Broede
