The loss of racist political bite.

The typical modern-day racist in America will blatantly deny he/she is a racist. Unlike the old-fashioned racist who proudly proclaimed that he/she was a redneck/bigot. A Nazi, of sorts.  But still, a racist is a racist is a racist. And there are plenty of ‘em remaining.  Yes, right here in America, the purported land of the free and the home of the brave. Now one merely pretends he/she ain’t a racist. Instead, the racist hides behind the downright funny facade/labels patriotic American and conservative Republican. Obviously, it’s all a bad act. Any dentist can easily identify American racists. They grind their teeth. Listen closely. In a gathering of Republicans, one hears the steady drone of grinding. Especially when Barack Obama speaks from the White House.  The racists don’t want to face the truth. Time has passed them by. Indeed, America becomes a little less racist daily. Still, a long way to go. But reason for optimism.  More and more Republicans are losing their teeth. And their political bite. –Jim Broede
