Our national shame.

I’m very happy. That things are going badly. For our president. Donald Trump. Yes, that may not be nice for me to say. But I say it anyway. Because from my biased perspective.  Trump is a mean and despicable guy. Who could go down as the worst president we’ve ever had. I want him out of office. The sooner, the better. If he’s impeached or ousted in some effective manner. I’ll cheer and applaud and dance cheerfully in the streets. I get away with saying this. In my blog. Because here. I have control over what I write. If I tried to post this in other public forums. I would stir up trouble and animosity. And might well be censored. This is a reasonably safe place to exercise my right to free speech. Thank goodness. Trump is an egocentric liar.  A self-server. A money-grubber. An abuser of women. Oh, so much gross misbehavior. Generally, I’m a pretty tolerant fellow. Ready to give almost everyone some leeway. But Trump pushes my limits. I have decided to treat him in a manner similar to the way he treats others. The way he treated his predecessor. Barack Obama. Knowingly telling lie after lie after lie. That Obama was an illegitimate president.  That he wasn’t born on the U.S.  Preposterous as it sounds, some people believed Trump. In his role as a snake oil salesman. Doesn’t speak well for some Trump followers. But at least they aren’t in office. America. America. It’s time to correct our national shame. –Jim Broede
