Cause for celebration.

I can’t do much about Donald Trump. Except gripe. He was duly elected president. Therefore, I have to put up. With a mean-spirited bastard. Of course, that is putting it bluntly. He has attained political power. And often has the option to more or less do as he pleases. Just for the hell of it. That’s how Trump gets his kicks. Gleefully. Yes, with a sense of cruel satisfaction. And his base (mostly conservative Republicans) , essentially supports him.  That’s the most annoying part of the Trump phenomenon. What I call. A grassroots lunatic fringe.  Fearful that the white majority will soon become the minority. Trump knows how to play upon those fears. I am white. And I am not fearful. Of the coming new majority. I’ll welcome the change. To what hopefully becomes a better America. Yes. Yes. When Trump and  his band of followers leave the scene. That will be cause for celebration.  --Jim Broede
