Perhaps I need treatment.

My time could be put to better use. In so very many ways. For instance, I’ve spent many hours watching sporting events. Mostly baseball and football games. That time could have been better spent. Reading, for instance. Or visiting art galleries.  Or going to classical music concerts. Of course, I’ve done all that, too. And never considered it a waste of time. But as for sporting events, that’s another story. Wasteful. Wasteful. Wasteful. That wasn’t always my attitude. I initially started as a sports writer. But soon found better things to write about. Still, I remained hooked on sports. As a fan and spectator.  To the point of addiction. Ain’t good. Perhaps I need treatment. --Jim Broede
