I’m against building walls. Along our borders. Especially if
the walls are intended to keep people out. Instead, I want to welcome
foreigners into America. Especially the destitute. And refugees seeking political
asylum. I’d impose no limits on the truly needy. Yes. Yes. I want my revered
country to continue to be a diverse melting pot. I’m not afraid that a few bad
hombres may sneak in. But that shouldn’t thwart a humanitarian policy of
welcoming most everyone. I want America
to set a shining example. For the rest of the world. Let’s have open borders.
Dotted with welcome signs. And reminders. That the only thing to fear is fear
itself. --Jim Broede
